Rising creative director, photographer and visual storyteller Yiwen Song, known as Yvonne Song is quickly becoming one of the most in-demand behind-the-scenes talents shaping today’s music and culture landscape. With an impressive portfolio spanning global artists, viral content, and independently produced projects, Song is redefining what it means to be a modern creative in the entertainment industry.

Over the past year, Song has served as the sole content creator for Miguel’s New York City events, capturing and crafting the visual narrative across major moments in his latest era. Her work spans from intimate pre-album studio sessions to high-profile appearances such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, culminating in large-scale performances including Miguel’s CAOS Tour and the iconic Roots Picnic—where Song also contributed on the production side.

Further solidifying her position behind the lens, Song has served as the main photographer for both the Sparrow cover shoot and multiple artist press shoots, leading the visual direction and capturing defining imagery used across media and promotional campaigns.

Her creative reputation has attracted direct collaborations with artists themselves. Rap star JT personally tapped Song to shoot her Pride performance and exclusive pop-up events, further showcasing her ability to capture high-energy moments through both photography and motion.

Song’s work with genre-defying artist Amaarae further solidifies her presence on the global stage. As the official BTS creative, her work has been featured on Vevo, bringing her storytelling to an international audience. Her portfolio also extends internationally, with Song having photographed and collaborated with global artists including GALI, Santa, and Jackson Wang, further highlighting the worldwide reach and cultural versatility of her work.

Beyond artist collaborations, Song is also a visionary in her own right. She independently created and produced a 7-Eleven Boiler Room-style event from scratch, overseeing everything from concept to execution. The project quickly gained traction, with clips from the event going viral across Chinese social media platforms, demonstrating her ability to merge culture, branding, and digital virality.

Her independent work continues to gain recognition across multiple mediums. Song has:

  • Won a film award for her original short film work
  • Produced a viral visual piece for Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock,” currently surpassing 80,000+ views on YouTube
  • Built a growing digital portfolio showcasing her multidisciplinary creative direction

What’s Next: Expanding Across Editorial, Film & Global Experiences

Looking ahead, Song is entering an ambitious new chapter, with projects spanning editorial, film, and large-scale live experiences.

She is currently developing high-fashion editorial work targeted for submission to Vogue, with upcoming shoots scheduled in the coming months—marking a strategic expansion into the fashion and luxury space.

In film, Song is currently developing a short-form global creative series that has already been screened at New York University. While the project has not yet been formally submitted, its visual and cultural direction has already been recognized as a strong fit for leading platforms such as Highsnobiety and NOWNESS. The series offers an intimate look into the mindset and lifestyle of Gen Z creatives across major cultural hubs including Paris, Shanghai, and the UK, exploring how a new generation of artists, photographers, musicians, and tastemakers are reshaping today’s global creative scene through fashion, music, nightlife, and visual culture.

Beyond her work in photography, film, and artist development, Song is also exploring future large-scale cultural and live event concepts that blend music, visual art, and community experiences. Building on her success producing independent creative projects and viral experiential events, she continues to develop new opportunities that bring together emerging talent, global perspectives, and immersive storytelling.

“Yvonne doesn’t just document moments—she builds them. Her work lives at the intersection of culture, storytelling, and experience.”

With a rapidly expanding portfolio and a bold slate of upcoming projects, Yvonne Song is poised to become a defining creative voice for the next generation of music, fashion, and global culture.
