Noki, a rising DJ/Producer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has rapidly ascended the dubstep charts on Beatport multiple times within just six months, igniting a powerful movement within the regional rave and bass music scene. Inspired by an unforgettable experience at GRiZ’s final show in Detroit, which radiated a profound sense of love and energy, Noki returned home with a newfound determination. Following a reflective microdosing session at Point State Park, he felt the spirit of Mac Miller guiding him, affirming that he was on the right path. This pivotal moment has since propelled Noki into the forefront of the electronic music landscape.

-How did your career begin (and when)?

The Noki project launched officially in May of 2024.

-Which is your first track ever released and from which label?

Bassburgh – Mac and Cheese Records (my own label).

-Which was your latest release?

Catch Me.

-What can we expect from you in the future?

More releases. I’m currently working on an album. More shows, we trying to keep the local ones free, at least at the Squirrel Hill Sports Pub if we can. Touring, touring, and more touring.

What drew you to the music industry?

I’ve always been attracted to figuring it out. It’s like a fun puzzle. Then I came to realize that Berklee offers online courses. While working as a DJ in Key West, I attended Berklee online.

– Who are you inspired by?

GRiZ, Ganja White Night, Boogie T, SoDown, Big Gigantic, Alleycvt, Tvboo.

– Please explain your creative process.

Deep meditation, listening to music while driving around, mushrooms, attending festivals, and keeping up to date on the latest gear are all great starting points for me.

– What’s an average day like for you?

Extremely busy, haha. Like many artists, I work full time outside of the music industry. Between that, consulting inside of the music industry/artist development, producing, content creation, and throwing shows…it’s a lot.

– Which DAW do you use to produce music?

Ableton!

– Do you play any instruments?

Sing, play guitar, bass, drums.

– On a personal level, what music do you listen to in your free time? Do you have other activities beside music?

Punk, Reggae, Country, Soca music. Yes, I love yoga, cooking indian food, bike riding, and coloring my hair anything other than its natural color, haha. I also just bought a home which has been amazing.

– You mentioned consulting, do you offer help to other artists?

Absolutely! Just PM me on socials!
