Tell Me lands on Thrust Records with a clear sense of utility, but it is not just a straight club tool. The original from Lee Coombs & Tara Brooks moves in a peak-time house lane, built around a direct, propulsive groove that keeps its shape without feeling overly polished. The old-school techno-soul edge is what gives it character: a little rough in the movement, enough swing in the drums, and enough pressure to sit comfortably in a room without forcing the point.

The two Lee Coombs remixes make the package more useful for different parts of the night. The Acid Mix pulls the track into a darker, dubbed-out space, favouring repetition, atmosphere and low-end tension over quick payoff. It feels aimed at the later stretch, where small shifts and a tighter sense of pressure can carry more weight than obvious peaks.
